Dark Wake is the story of an American woman, Sanaa, in a Mexican prison cell being visited by renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Robert Enom.
Soon after her arrival in the historic palace turned prison, Palacio Agridulce, Sanaa is abused by one of the prison guards. Now he is transmogrified in the wall as a warning to all who would enter the prison.
Behind Sanaa’s eyes are a hint of where this power comes from: the nightmare, and the dream she went through to become a part of it.
As the prison envelops the doctor in its history, Sanaa continues to have an impact on the prison.
A reckoning is coming. A Hunter, a being from the dream who exists only to exorcise the unnatural and the imbalanced from reality will find his way here, to this reality, to Sanaa’s prison cell.
